2019 is a year for change for me.
Like most people, I set myself some new year resolutions and have so far done none of them. My resolutions were:
- Learn to run. Go for a run at least twice a week.
- Fix up the bike and cycle at least once a week.
- Swim once a week.
- Focus on my work more.
- Keep off social media and not check the phone every 10 minutes.
So, yeah, there’s a few resolutions that I don’t think are very hard to do but to keep them on-going is where my challenge will be.
Weather in Aberdeen is very cold at the moment so going for a run and cycle is certainly on hold till the weather gets better. I’ve been limiting myself to how much time I spend on my phone and even switching to an old Nokia that I borrowed from my dad.
Focusing on my work has been getting better. I am still working from home and managing my day is getting better. Once a month, I travel to my office in Cambourne, Cambridgeshire to visit the team and show my face.
2019, I’m ready for you. Let’s see how well I stick to these resolutions.
